“Together Make It Better” Study Visit in Nitra, Slovakia

The “Together Make It Better” study visit took place from November 25 to December 1 2024 in Nitra, Slovakia, bringing together amazing people who engaged in non-formal learning. The participants consisted of mixed nationalities, and the activities included workshops and visited inspiring places/events like: Leisure Time Centre CVČ Domino, Nitra Creative Center, The Youth Award Ceremony organised by the Nitra Regional Youth Council.

The project focused on selected European Youth Goals: 9. Space & Participation for All, and 10. Youth Organisations & European Programmes.

This study visit facilitated the mobility of youth workers as a means to enhance the skills of both youth workers and organizations. It fostered international collaboration among youth organizations in Europe, improved the quality of participatory projects and strategies for young people, introduced digital tools to align with new forms of participation such as digital engagement, and shared best practices relevant to youth work.

TDM 2000 had the chance to participate in this study visit with two participants and a trainer.

Francesco Mollo, the young participant from Italy, shares his experience: “The study visit was an unforgettable experience. Nitra is a beautiful city with a beautiful old town and stunning views, providing the perfect setting for the event. The project allowed me to meet amazing people from different countries, all enthusiastic to learn and exchange ideas. The topics discussed were not only interesting but also educational, offering valuable thoughts into various social and cultural issues. The organizing association SIEDAS was outstanding, ensuring everything ran smoothly and providing great support throughout the visit. Their professionalism made the experience even more enjoyable. My time in Nitra was fantastic, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a fantastic project.”
