Final Event of the European Citizenship Academy in Brussels

From 17–20 November, the Final Event of our European Citizenship Academy (ECA) project took place in Brussels, bringing together partners from France, Macedonia, Poland, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Greece, and Portugal for the concluding phase of a two-year collaboration.

The program began with a partners’ meeting, where project leaders and coordinators reviewed the overall progress of the ECA project, reflected on achievements, and outlined the remaining steps needed to complete the final report.

Afterwards, partners and young participants visited the Parlamentarium and the European Parliament, attending interactive exhibitions and learning more about the history and decision-making processes of the European Union.

Finally, we gathered for the Public Event, where the coordinators presented the project, its timeline and achieved objectives to the guests and wider audience. Each partner presented the activities implemented throughout the project and accordingly the impact achieved in their communities. The young participants also shared their personal reflections, speaking about the skills they gained, the experiences they had, and how being part of the ECA project helped increase their understanding of European citizenship.
