After two years of activities, the European Citizenship Academy (ECA) project is about the be closed, with a final event set to take place in Brussels in November 2025. The gathering will bring together young participants and partner organizations of the project, policymakers, and other stakeholders. The event will be a moment to share results and achieved objectives of the projects, reflect on the insights gained, and discuss upcoming collaborations and ways of supporting active European citizenship.
Since the launch of the project, the different partner organizations across Europe have implemented local and international activities to promote European citizenship, encourage intercultural dialogue, and develop educational tools that help young people understand and engage with the EU. Over the course of the project, participants had the opportunity to explore how Europe works, take part in civic activities, and contribute ideas for Europe’s future.
The final event will also incluce a guided visit to the Parlamentarium — the European Parliament’s interactive visitor centre. This visit will offer participants a closer look at how European democracy functions and how citizens’ voices are reflected in EU policies.
