“Volunteer to include!” is a multilateral youth exchange that involves Italy, Romania, Portugal, Iceland, Slovakia, Greece and Turkey, gathering together 28 young people plus 7 group leaders to discuss about voluntarism and social cohesion. The YE will last 7 days and will be realized in Oporto.
The Project aims to promote voluntarism as a tool to foster intercultural dialogue and to promote inclusion of people that are marginalized from the society because of their socio-economical condition and their cultural and religious background. Through working in small groups, role plays, presentations and practical activities, the participants will be encouraged to discuss and to compare ideas and experiences, stimulating creativity and challenging our mind in a multicultural environment.
Traditional and modern models of voluntarism will be analysed in order to measure how and how much they are valid to foster multicultural understanding and to support social cohesion. At the end of the YE the participants will create a magazine with different articles and aspects of voluntarism and its impact on a multicultural society. The language of the TC will be English.
