Intercultural festivals
TDM 2000 strongly believes in enhancing local identities as the basis for an intercultural dialogue aimed at overcoming prejudice and stereotypes. To this end, every year it organises two intercultural festivals involving hundreds of young people from all over the world, where the discovery of local traditions blends with a melting pot of languages and cultures. International Summer Weektakes place every year in Cagliari in the first half of August and has gradually become the most important initiative of its kind in the western Mediterranean; the second, International Winter Week, is itinerant in nature and is traditionally held around the arrival of the new year.
International Summer Week and International Winter Week have offered thousands of young people the opportunity for an extraordinary intercultural experience in which breaking down barriers goes hand in hand with sharing moments of fun and friendship.
