“Be Festive” is a 24-month project, co-funded by the ERASMUS-YOUTH-2023-CB of the European Union. The project aims to explore traditional cultural festivities across Mediterranean countries, enhance youth participation and raise awareness for the importance of intangible cultural heritage.
The specific objectives of the project are:
- To create a cultural map of cultural festivities in the Mediterranean and develope practical learning materials to promote diversity and inclusion;
- To support youth workers with tools to encourage cultural heritage preservation, sensitivity, inclusivity, and understanding of traditional festivities;
- To provide young people and youth workers with hands-on experiences in traditional celebrations to deepen cultural awareness and engagement;
- To build awareness and connect youth workers who can actively lead projects focused on cultural heritage, diversity and inclusion.
The project is a partnership of organizations from Greece (ANCE), Italy (TDM 2000), Cyprus (MUSE), Jordan (JYIF), Egypt (ETIJAH), and Türkiye (PUHU).
