From 18 to 26 October 2026, TDM 2000 hosted the second youth exchange of the project “HR 3.0: Empowering Youth to Shape Tomorrow’s Rights” in Cagliari, Italy. The exchange brought together young people from six partner countries: Italy, France, Portugal, Türkiye, Poland and Belgium.
This time, the activities focused on the theme “The Right to Digital Inclusion and Protection”, giving participants the opportunity to explore issues related to digital rights, online safety, equal access to digital technologies and the challenges young people face in an increasingly digital world.
Throughout the programme, participants took part in non-formal education activities, group discussions, workshops and intercultural learning sessions. Through these activities, they explored the importance of digital inclusion, discussed the risks and opportunities of the online environment and shared perspectives on how young people can better understand and exercise their digital rights.
Similarly to the first youth exchange which was hosted in France by the project partners “Intercultura”, participants also had the opportunity to test educational activities that will be further developed and included in the project’s Educational Toolkit, one of its main outputs. The exchange also provided space for participants to work together on developing youth recommendations related to the right to digital inclusion and protection.
The exchange was the second of six youth exchanges planned within the “HR 3.0” project. The upcoming activities will continue exploring different third-generation human rights topics, including the Right to Cultural Identity and Cultural Heritage, the Right to Sustainable Development, the Right to Peace and Security, and the Right to Self-Determination.
