Seminario “New Programmes, New Challenges”

This is a Youth in Action – Action 5.1 – Transnational Youth Seminar aimed at bringing together young people and policy-makers and experts in European youth policy, in order to exchange ideas and views on the new framework of youth and educational programs (Erasmus Plus Programme) of the European Union and contributing to priorities of Structured Dialogue by proposing adjustments and priorities for the first years of the program. The seminar is a continuation of an Action 5.1 seminar ASHA organised back in July 2012 on the future of European youth mobility (Youth in Action on the Move! Seminar. The project will also involve experts and policy-makers in the field of youth policy from local, national and European level including representatives of Gloucester Youth Service, British Council / Youth in Action, European Commission, Commonwealth Secretariat and University of Gloucestershire. Project activities include a seminar involving young people and youth policy experts and publication of a report with a summary of the seminar and recommendations regarding priorities and activities of the new Erasmus Plus Programme. The seminar programme is based on non-formal learning methods. Main program elements include: presentations, discussions, evaluation of the current and future European mobility programs, workshops on youth advocacy and a one-day meeting with policy-makers. The seminar outcomes – recommendations of young people about priorities of European youth policy and European youth mobility – will be collected in a final report. The project will involve 30 young participants from the UK, Poland, Croatia, Italy and Germany.We are looking for 6 motivated youngsters: available places left: 6 – Participation fee for each project is 30% of the travel costs, plus the annual membership fee 2013 (30€).
